La stagione del poker live targato PokerStars, comincia a diventare sempre più intensa e, dopo la chiusura dell’Italian Poker Challenge a Campione, la cui vittoria del Main Event è andata a Francesco Arnone, i giocatori affezionati al brand e una marea di tavoli verdi, stanno per inondare il Royal Dublin Society, dove, per la 46esima volta, si apriranno i battenti dell’Irish Open.

Le date sono ormai state comunicate da tempo e, per una giornata di apertura identificata in giovedì 26 marzo, seguirà quella di chiusura un paio di settimane dopo, il 6 aprile.

Il quarto anno con PokerStars

Il torneo del 2026 sarà il quarto organizzato insieme a PokerStars in quel di Dublino, dove, come probabilmente in nessun altro Festival al mondo, i numeri continuano a crescere a dismisura anno dopo anno.

L’Irish Poker Open si porta dietro anche un record piuttosto prestigioso, visto che stiamo parlando dell’evento più longevo della storia del poker in Europa e il secondo con più anni alle spalle al mondo.

D’altronde il termine “The Craic” ( termine irlandese che significa divertimento sfrenato ), non è stato accostato a questa manifestazione in maniera casuale.

I tornei principali

Se non siete mai stati all’interno della gigantesca sala del Royal Society, è difficile anche solo provare a immaginare che tipo di atmosfera possa fare immergere un giocatore di poker in una distesa di tavoli a perdifiato.

La prima data da tenere presente è quella di apertura, il 26 marzo, quando si giocherà il Mini Irish Open, che farà compagnia ai giocatori che sceglieranno di giocarlo, fino al 6 aprile, in pratica per tutta la durata dell’evento.

L’evento principale è schedulato invece per il 29 marzo, per una settimana che si chiuderà contestualmente con la proclamazione del vincitore del Mini Irish.

Il NHL high Roller, si giocherà invece in tre giornate, dal 30 marzo al primo aprile, mentre, in chiusura evento, i ritardatari proveranno a conquistare la vittoria dell’Irish Open PLO Mystery Bounty.

Costo, date, struttura del Main Event

Il Buy In del Main Event di quest’anno sarà pari a €1.150, con una house fee pari a 150 Euro ed uno staff charge di €30, entrambi compresi nel costo di iscrizione.

La composizione delle giornate, soprattutto quelle che fanno capo ai flight di apertura, non sono consecutive e, dopo il Day 1A che si gioca, come scritto prima, il 29, il Day 1B avrà luogo direttamente il primo aprile.

E ancora, il Day 1C si giocherà il 02 aprile, il Day 1D e il Day 1E il 03 aprile, mentre il Day 2 si giocherà alle 12:00 di sabato 04 aprile, seguito dal Day 3 di domenica.

Proclamazione del vincitore nella serata di lunedì 05 aprile.

Il prize pool garantito per il Main Event sarà pari a 2,5 milioni di Euro e, all’atto dell’iscrizione, verrà consegnato uno stack di ingresso pari a 50.000 chips.
